What’s the News? MOVING THE GOALPOSTS, KILIFI has been NOMINATED to take part in Cityzens Giving, Manchester City’s global community campaign. This is an initiative that aims to make a difference around the world through community football projects delivered by inspiring young leaders who are attempting to tackle pressing societal issues. Our project HIV prevention in Kilifi is among other nominated projects. What is at stake? City Football Group and its partners have pledged £400,000 which equals to averagely Ksh.41 million towards the campaign. A win for MTG equals to reduced HIV prevalence among coastal rural girls in Kenya. This means girls having a better understanding of how to protect themselves and their peers from contracting HIV/AIDS, early pregnancies and Sexual and Gender based violence. How do we do this? MTG SET FOR LEAGUE RETURN AS FKF RELEASES FIXTURES
Moving the Goalposts (MTG) has made a return to the Women Division One League after a long absence and will take part in Zone A of the league, which is scheduled to kick off on Sunday 4 March. Zone A will comprise Kibera Girls Soccer Academy (KGSA), Kilifi Queens, Golden Angels, Limuru Starlets and Soccer Sisters while Zone B has the likes of Gusii Starlets, Chrisc St. Elizabeth, Bunyore Starlets, Bulemia Ladies FC, Nyuki Starlets, Nyamira Starlets, Bomet Starlets and Solasa Stima Queens. MTG will commence their league campaign with an away clash against Joy Love at Hope Centre on Saturday 4 March. MTG THE WINNERS OF GLOBAL GOALS WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT, IMPALA CLUB NAIROBI
Moving the Goal Posts are the winners of this year’s Global Goals World Cup, held at Impala Sports club in Nairobi on 5th March 2017.MTG United Team were playing for Global Goal 5; Gender equality. Global Goals World cup was started in 2015 when 193 world leaders committed to The 17 Global Goals for the next 15 years: End extreme poverty; Fight inequality and injustice; Fix climate change. In all countries. For all people. Global Goal tournament mobilizes women globally to take this development agenda into their own hands.
