What’s the News? MOVING THE GOALPOSTS, KILIFI has been NOMINATED to take part in Cityzens Giving, Manchester City’s global community campaign. This is an initiative that aims to make a difference around the world through community football projects delivered by inspiring young leaders who are attempting to tackle pressing societal issues. Our project HIV prevention in Kilifi is among other nominated projects.
What is at stake? City Football Group and its partners have pledged £400,000 which equals to averagely Ksh.41 million towards the campaign. A win for MTG equals to reduced HIV prevalence among coastal rural girls in Kenya. This means girls having a better understanding of how to protect themselves and their peers from contracting HIV/AIDS, early pregnancies and Sexual and Gender based violence.
